Hen's Teeth Prints and The Future creative conference present 60x60, an incredible cross-section of Ireland’s best and brightest artists in one landmark exhibition. 60x60 is an exhibition that provides a snapshot of where our cultural landscape and artistic forces lie. At the affordable price point of €60, each piece in the collection provides an accessible entry point for people to own original work by some of the country’s foremost visual makers. Artists include seminal hip hop portraitist B+ (Brian Cross), original Dazed & Confused photographer Deirdre O’Callaghan, previous winner of the NME live music photo of the year award Dave Sexton and Rankin protégé Conor Clinch. Designer Niall Sweeney, former Charlie Brooker collaborator Lorcan Finnegan, Guardian, Pitchfork and MTV illustrator Laura Callaghan, Google, Facebook and Guinness illustrator Fuchsia Macaree as well as a broad ranging set of graphic designers, fine artists, photographers and those who collaborate with the above.
(aka Brian Cross) was born and raised in Limerick, Ireland. He attended the National College of Art and Design in Dublin graduating in 1989 with a degree in painting. In 1990 he came to Los Angeles to study photography at the California Institute of the Arts. While at Cal Arts he began work on a project entitled, Its Not about a Salary: Rap Race and Resistance in Los Angeles, which was subsequently published by Verso Books in 1993. It was nominated as a Rolling Stone Music Book of the Year and made the NME critics best music book of the year list.
